The fun and “innocent” Hasbro game, Ouija, already had a film adaptation in 2014, and now a new film in the series is coming out called Ouija: Origin of Evil. A new trailer has been released and features more frights for the Halloween season.
The story takes place in 1965 Los Angeles and follows a widowed mother and her two daughters as they scam people with their séance stunt. However, they have accidentally invited evil into their house, thanks to the Ouija board. The youngest daughter is possessed by an evil spirit, and the family will have to do what they can to save her and send the spirit back into its world.
The film is directed and written by Mike Flanagan, with Jeff Howard as the co-writer.
Ouija: Origin of Evil hits theaters on October 21, 2016.
