If you are a social media junkie, like I am, then you’ll be ecstatic to hear that Twitter is no longer counting media in their 140 character count.
The change became official on September 19th after being announced earlier this year that Twitter would one day allow users to “express more in a single tweet.” Similar reports came out that Twitter would also be upping the 140 character limit, though those were quashed by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Links seem to be next on the list to not count towards the limit, according to reports leaked back in May of this year.
So no more getting that perfect tweet laid out, only to have abbreviate every other word after adding your picture.
