Over a year ago, Fox attempted to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise, however, it wasn’t well received. It basically became the hot garbage of the cinema after its terrible scores accumulated on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics and fans pretty much had a field day with Fantastic Four, which ran it into the ground more so. With all the controversy that surrounded the film from its conception, it was pretty much doomed from the start. Despite the bad history, the actor Miles Teller who played Reed Richards, still has his sights set on a sequel.
“I loved the cast, I loved the characters. I think it’s such an interesting dynamic. I love how much they really need to rely on each other, so yeah, absolutely, I would do another one.”
“Nothing would make me happier than the world embracing a Fantastic Four movie.”
As great as this sounds, I don’t believe the world is going to accept the sequel with open arms. The last film is still fresh in our minds and a lot of us comic book movie fans don’t want to see another train wreck. I hate to be that guy and keep beating a dead horse, but Fox just needs to give up on the franchise completely and just let the rights lapse back to Marvel Studios. In fact, they’ve already proven their ability to handle an outside franchise like Spider-Man in their films, and his I.P. is owned currently by Sony Pictures. What else does Fox have to lose at this point, right? MAKE IT HAPPEN, FOX!
