Most games nowadays have pre-release Betas to ensure the online components of a game work at launch. Titanfall 2 is one of this Fall’s big online-multiplayer games, so it makes sense that it would have a Beta.
Only thing is, the developers at Respawn Entertainment aren’t labeling it as a beta, and instead calling it an Open Multiplayer Tech Test. Players interested can sign up for “Dispatches from the Frontier”, a newsletter that will also include chances to receive in-game rewards and exclusive offers.
The first Titanfall was multiplayer-only, but a darn good game at that. The only problem I personally had was that there wasn’t enough content to justify playing it for much longer. The sequel will feature a single-player campaign along with the multiplayer fans know and love. It will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28. We’re going to sign up for the Tech Test to see what all the fuss is about!
