It’s the 50th anniversary of Star Trek and the History Channel wants to celebrate it with you with a two-hour documentary. ’50 Years of Star Trek’ features interviews with cast members and creators, including one of Leonard Nimoy’s final full length interviews.
The documentary will focus on the cultural phenomenon it had created – the movies, television series, the conventions, and the fans. The documentary will feature interviews with Whoopi Goldberg, Jonathan Frakes, Nichelle Nichols, J. .Abrams, Bryan Fuller, and Simon Pegg as they reflect on their contribution to the beloved franchise. Directed by Ian Roumain and produced by New Wave Entertainment, we will get a closer look into the stories on set and how Star Trek has changed the future.
’50 Years of Star Trek’ airs this Sunday, August 14 at 8[m ET/PT on The History Channel.
