We call it the September Event, but let’s just call it what it is – the iPhone Event. The time of year that Apple fans wait for every year is now upon us, and no, I don’t mean the pumpkin spice latte. Apple has recently sent out their invites to the lucky few that are invited to see the reveal of the newest iPhone, in addition to the various other announcements that Apple makes in the Fall.
The event will be held in San Francisco on September 7th. The invite was pretty cryptic in that it simply reads “See you on the 7th. Please join us for an invitation-only event.” The event is set to take place at 10am, and although there is no word on whether Apple will live stream it or not, there is a pretty good chance they will.
With rumors surrounding the tech giant’s newest smartphone, the big question that everyone is waiting to be answered is “Will the iPhone have a headphone jack?” Rumors of Apple putting the kibosh on the 3.5 mm jack in favor of pushing users towards Bluetooth audio, or headphones with a lighting plug, have been circling for months. While there are pros on cons on both sides of the debate, the move will certainly be a bold one.
