The Westworld series, based on the Michael Crichton movie, is premiering on HBO on October 2nd, and here are plenty of new photos to get audiences excited. Although there’s a lot of mystery surrounding the show, at least we can get a better look at the actors as their characters. Check out the photo gallery below, courtesy of John P. Johnson and HBO.
Synopsis: WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. The one-hour drama series kicks off its ten-episode season SUNDAY, OCT. 2 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, both of whom are executive producing and writing, with Nolan also directing, the series was inspired by the 1973 motion picture “Westworld,” written and directed by Michael Crichton. Executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, Bryan Burk.
Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Robert Ford, the creative director of Westworld.
James Marsden as Teddy Flood, a new gunslinger who’s captivated by a local beauty.
Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright as Bernard Lowe, head of the Westworld Programming Division and creator of artificial people.
Shannon Woodward as Elsie, Programming Division employee tasked with odd behavior in the park’s artificial beings, and Sidse Babett Knudsen as Theresa Cullen, Westworld’s operations leader in charge of making sure the park runs smoothly.
Jimmi Simpson as William, a new guest at Westworld who is joined by his friend, Logan. The role is similar to the Peter Martin character in the original film.
Ben Barnes as Logan, a veteran Westworld guest who wants to help his friend, William. Logan is similar to the John Blane character in the original film.
Angela Sarafyan as Clementine Pennyfeather, an artificial being and one of Westworld’s most popular attractions.
Simon Quarterman as Lee Sizemore, the narrative director at Westworld. Let’s say he’s not popular at the park.
Marsden and Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores Abernathy. It looks like Dolores is the local beauty that Marsden’s character is pining over.
Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Armistice, a ruthless bandit.
You may recognize Rodrigo Santoro in Zack Snyder’s 300 as Xerxes. In Westworld, he plays Hector Escaton, a wanted man bent on survival.
Thandie Newton as Maeve Millay, the madame of Westworld.
Newton and Santoro.
And of course, we can’t forget about Ed Harris as the Man in Black, a mysterious villain.
