It’s that time of year again! Time to be scared with those Halloween Scare attractions!
Queen Mary is no different… except for the fact that the Queen Mary has been around for 80 years and has been suspected to be haunted in some parts. So why not create an attraction around it?
Dark Harbor returns this October with a new resident spirit joining the Captain and his crew – the Iron Master. According to legend, Ivan was a ship builder and iron forger for the construction of the Queen Mary in the early 1930s. He spent his life dedicated to the ship aka Queen Mary, including its first voyage in 1936. But, one night, while at his shipyard, he was called to a mysterious steam engine and boarded it. Inside, he was transformed into a terrifying creature – part metal, part monster. Over time, as his skin began to decay, Ivan was forced to replace his rotting flesh with metal – the same metal he used to create the Queen Mary. Because of his loveand dedication to the ship, he now stands as protector of the Queen Mary.
He will be part of the Intrepid maze, which will take guests through the golden age of Travel and bear witness on his cursed journey to save the R.M.S. Queen Mary from sinking like the Titanic… and then travel through Iron Hell.
Now, the Iron Master joins the Captain, Samuel the Savage, Graceful Gale, Half-Hatch Henry, Scary Mary, Voodoo Priestess, and the Ringmaster in this year’s Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary.
The annual event begins on September 29th through October 31st. General admission starts at $20 online with Fast Fright upgrades, VIP RIP Lounge access, Creepy Cabana rentals, and historic hotel packages available. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit http://ift.tt/2aISuWm
