Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a very popular franchise, and there are no signs of it slowing down with reports of a new live-action reboot coming from Michael Bay and an animated film coming to Netflix. As for Batman, he’ll be back in theaters in 2021 with Matt Reeves as the director. Soon, fans will get to see both team up in an animated film called Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Home Entertainment have partnered with DC Entertainment and Nickelodeon to bring Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles together. This isn’t the first time the Turtles and Batman teamed up as they were seen together in 2015 on the comic book pages by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II. Based on the comic book miniseries, it’ll be the first time audiences will get to see the crossover outside of the medium.
The Turtles come face to face with Batman, and together they’ll help defeat Batman’s enemies.
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be out on 4K, Blu-ray and Digital in late spring.
The animated film features Troy Baker (Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Last of Us) as Batman and the Joker, Darren Criss
The film’s voice cast features Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins) as both Batman and the Joker (making him the first actor ever to take on both roles in one project), Darren Criss (Glee, Supergirl, The Flash) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live, Arrested Development) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, Eric Bauza (The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as the Penguin, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) as Bane, and Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra’s al Ghul.
