Villain Media’s 5 Reasons to get “Twiztid: Haunted High-Ons”

Twiztid’s Haunted High-Ons comic book dropping on November 1st is something I’m personally highly anticipating and it looks like I’m not the only one.

Villain Media which seems to literally be a publication that specifically posts about villains (but I could be wrong) have recently posted a quick review of the first issue. The review is very positive and comes in the form of 5 reasons to definitely pick that up.

5) Hilarious Hijinks & Scary Horror!
4) Jamie Madrox & Monoxide!
3) The Phenomenal Artwork!
2) The Vivid Colors!
1) In Hell!

5 REASONS TO GET ‘TWIZTID: HAUNTED HIGH-ONS’ (SOURCE POINT PRESS)!

Whether delivering scares or providing comic relief to lighten the mood, Twiztid: Haunted High-Ons(Source Point Press) hits its target every single time. In this one shot special, Twiztid, the horrorcore rap group from Detroit, Michigan, is genuinely witty and dynamic as blue collar ghost hunters.

Imagine Jamie Madrox and Monoxide carving out a comfortable side-gig for themselves as fake ghost hunters. The horrorcore rap duo happens to stumble upon a routine house call. Not only do they find themselves discovering a ghost, there’s also a killer demon to boot. Hijinks and horror ensue from Twiztid!

Here are 5 reasons why you should get Twiztid: Haunted High-Ons:

5) Hilarious Hijinks & Scary Horror!

Along with Jamie Madrox and Monoxide on the story, co-writer Dirk Manning is definitely having tremendous fun mixing the horror and comedy genres. As the two deliver side-splitting lines at each other, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide romp their way through a haunted house. Manning has found clever way to make sure that every single page has plenty of scares and laughs.

4) Jamie Madrox & Monoxide!

Most of the laugh-out-loud humor comes from our two main leads. Manning explores the theme of duality with Madrox and Monoxide. One character is quiet and reserved, while the other tends to be loud and off-the-wall. With so much personality, our two protagonists carry the ghost story with so much style and finesse.

3) The Phenomenal Artwork!

Artist Marianna Pescosta does an excellent job with the jumps and scares, especially when it comes does down to the detailed facial expressions. The duo can be seen with and without their makeup. You can obviously tell there is a Kiss as influence when the two are in black and white makeup during the climax.

2) The Vivid Colors!

Colorist Alessandro de Fornasari lays the groundwork, separating reality from the supernatural. The tone is more grounded when Twiztid start out in their shop. When the ghost shows up, that’s when the hues change and strike out with tons of vibrancy.

1) In Hell!

In Hell is my personal favorite song from them! As you can tell, I had to get my hands on this one! An entertaining one shot special, Twiztid: Haunted High-Ons dives into its title and embraces its ingenious horror/comedy premise.
