Official trailer for Blade Runner 2049 brings the sci-fi feels!

Your story isn’t over yet…there is still a pages left”

Seriously, can you not look at this picture and just scream out FINALLY?!

Close your eyes, and picture, if you will, being transported back to the year 1982. The clothes, the music, the toys, the movies, everything, see it in your mind. Well, open your eyes, and check out the trailer that will have you feeling like you took a trip back in time!

This morning, Warner Bros. dropped the official trailer of one of the most anticipated sequels in the history of cinema! Blade Runner 2049 has been talked about for the entirety of this past year, and so far, all this year. We’ve yet to see more than just the few seconds of a grizzly Harrison Ford pointing a gun at the innocent Ryan Gosling, but now, we know the full story.

In the trailer released, we find ourselves plopped right where we left off: a world of lights, sounds, and plenty of risqué advertisements. Ryan Gosling is Officer K, a Blade Runner in this not too distant future, summoned by Jared Leto’s unnamed character. I would assume that he was an heir to the Tyrell Corporation, as he is now in charge of the production and creation of the replicants. Officer K is told about the order of things by his superior, played by Robin Wright. We also get a chance to see some of the replicants that may be on the run, played by Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and Ana de Armas (War Dogs).

From the visuals to the loud synth, I’m so overwhelmed with this trailer! I love ’80s sci-fi, and this film really does feel like it could’ve been made during that era. Everything about this film just oozes with the universe of the first Blade Runner, and I find myself watching it over and over again, finding all the little things. That’s a conversation for a future article, but for now, check out the trailer, and just know that October is going to rock!

Official synopsis: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
