The SteelSeries Arctis 3 is a pro gaming headset compatible with Nintendo Switch

With the Nintendo Switch emphasizing hardcore on-the-go gaming, it’s only appropriate that it gets a headset to go along with that theme. Fortunately, the folk over at SteelSeries has this covered with the Arctis 3.

Thanks to its lightweight design and high-quality audio, it’s easy to take the headset outside of your home.

“Arctis 3 is the best headset for everywhere you game, which makes it perfectly suited for the Nintendo Switch” said Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO. “We designed Arctis 3 with the industry’s best audio drivers, our exclusive athletics-inspired ski goggle suspension headband and AirWeave ear cushions, for performance and comfort at an accessible price for gaming on all-platforms.”

Of course, the headset is compatible with all consoles and PC with 7.1 surround sound, but it is unknown if that feature will be amplified through the Switch’s headphone jack. Also, with Nintendo’s unclear motive on how in-game voice chat will be handled (only confirmed through a smartphone app, but it’s possible that’s just an option), who knows whether you’ll be hearing both the game and chat audio while playing Mario Kart or Splatoon 2.

The SteelSeries Arctis 3 is available now for $79.99. We will have a review up soon!
