Sonic has had his shares of ups and downs (we’re looking at you Sonic ’06), but since then we have seen successful releases in Sonic Colors and Generations, and it doesn’t look like the blue blur is going to stop anytime soon. His next adventure, now titled Sonic Forces, was shown off to us during GDC a few weeks back.
We got a sneak peek of a full level with our favorite hedgehog in action. Throughout the stage we see all sorts of damage and destruction to one of the cities that Sonic is racing through, and it looks that the evil eggman has been busier than normal.
Sega has just released its first clip of modern Sonic’s gameplay, and it is a mix of the more successful 3D games in the franchise. Sonic Forces will also feature the more traditional 2D Sonic gameplay, and although we haven’t seen gameplay for that yet, I’m sure Sega will have a few tricks up their sleeves for the fans to enjoy.
