amiibo are interactive figures and cards that you can use to uncover surprising new features in all sorts of compatible games. By tapping an amiibo, you might unlock new content, open up new challenges, or see something totally unexpected!
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, out now on Nintendo Switch and Wii U, you can tap the Wolf Link amiibo (sold separately) to summon a trusty ally in-game. Other amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series can give you all sorts of helpful items too! You can use plenty of amiibo in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, coming to Nintendo Switch on April 28th, to unlock Mii Suits. You’ll also be able to use amiibo with Splatoon 2 when it arrives this summer!
To use an amiibo with Nintendo Switch, just tap it to the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy-Con. If you have a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (sold separately), you can use amiibo with that too!
