Injustice 2 is looking to be one of the best games of 2017, and has announced another playable character for the sequel. None other than Swamp Thing, who played a key role in Tom Taylor’s Injustice: Year Three of the comics.
The announcement of playable characters for Injusice 2 so far include: Black Canary, Robin (Damian Wayne), Brainiac, Poison Ivy, Bane, Batman, Blue Beetle, The Flash (Barry Allen), Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, and Aquaman.
Injustice 2 will be available for purchase on May 16, 2017 with 3 available versions: Standard, Digital Deluxe (which comes with three DLC characters), and the Ultimate Edition— which will include nine DLC characters, three premiere skins, and two gear-shader packs. Darkseid is also a pre-order bonus character.
Official Synopsis: Injustice 2 continues the story line established in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Five years after the defeat of the High Councilor, Batman and his insurgency attempt to piece society back together while struggling against the remnants of Superman’s regime who seek to restore his rule. Meanwhile, a shady new group, known as “The Society”, emerges and makes plans for world domination, eliminating any heroes that stand in their way. With several of his allies either victims of, or collaborators with, Superman’s failed regime, Batman is forced to form a new team of superheroes to combat an invading Brainiac, who puts Earth’s entire existence at risk.
