He’s Back!!! At the PlayStation Experience, it was revealed that Vicarious Visions is working on a PlayStation 4 remake of the original Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. It was a very pleasant surprise to also find out that the game would be playable on the show floor.
With the addition of Crash Bandicoot to Skylanders Imaginators earlier this year, it was that much sweeter to be able to play the game again. So how is the game and are there any big differences? Aside from the visual upgrade, the gameplay and level design were identical to the original Crash Bandicoot. While we only had a chance to get hands-on time with two levels from the first game, it made me more excited than ever to replay all three games back to back without having to search for the original discs.
DigitalFoundry posted a video where they compare the graphics from Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy footage of the first Crash Bandicoot game to the original PlayStation One game.
No release date was revealed for the game. It’s expected to be released sometime in 2017.
