Fox has released a new featurette for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender. The video touches on the new Animus, and those who have played the video game series know that this is a definite upgrade compared to the simple table/chair setup. (You can see the difference here.)
What’s interesting about this is that Fassbender’s character, Callum Lynch, moves around the room as he’s reliving his ancestor’s life.
Synopsis: Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
The film is directed by Justin Kurzel (Macbeth) and also stars Marion Cottilard (The Dark Knight Rises), Brendan Gleeson, Michael K. Williams and Jeremy Irons.
Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21, 2016.
